No business Like Snow Business ---

Walk from the south side of the Hall  with those fantastic views of the hills,  down the steps from what was the west wing into the courtyard and look back: how beautiful Marley Hall looks with its fresh mantle of snow!!!

Walk through the pom-pom garden and down the fields and look back at the hall from the east side of the estate. Beautiful.

A brisk walk to the stream which runs to the south and east of the Marley estate, and sneak over one of those stone walls which must have seen the changes of the estate over a few hundred years. So must the stream, which loves to be a waterfall when the hills are fresh with rain or melting snow -- thinks -- when this snow melts I must returm to photograph the waterfall!!!

Now back to the north side of the estate and there is that great north facing window with the studio behind, the painting waiting for its artist, the light just perfect, the spirit refreshed, the pulse racing at the thought of another day of painting at Marley Hall. The snow is truly inspirational and it has been great for the last three weeks!!
